As a natural creative I gravitated towards photography at an early age and started teaching myself how to use a camera, and the exciting world that is Photoshop and Lightroom. I quickly began growing my skills in composition, attention to detail, and how to slow down to notice the small moments of beauty in the world.

I moved to Vancouver to study at UBC. During my degree in English Literature I was able to expand on my communication and analytical skills — and read a lot of good books.

Eager to explore a new culture, I spent a year studying on exchange at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). I quickly became entranced by the culture and art throughout Europe and gained valuable interpersonal skills

I started working for the Bank of Montreal part time while finishing my degree. As a customer service representative, I was able to gain valuable skills working one on one with customers to optimize their banking experience

After completing another year at UBC, I was feeling uninspired and took a year off to do the UX Work-Study program at RED Academy in Vancouver.

This was my first experience being formally introduced to the design industry. I was able to study on campus in the evenings and weekends, while working full time during the week.

Here I got the chance to collaborate on campus with other cohorts of designers, digital marketers and web developers (as well as some very fluffy pups 🐶), and complete a project working with an industry partner.

I finished the final year of my degree remotely (thanks, covid) and graduated April 2021 with my BA in English Literature

Given the opportunity through BC Tech, I embarked on a three month, fully remote, UX Design bootcamp with BrainStation.

During the (fig)jam packed months, I was able to expand on my existing design skillset and experience working in a remote agile learning environment.
